Mother's Day

Mother's Day James took us out to breakfast at the Pig-n-Pancake. It was packed, but that is to be expected, so James took some pictures of Teagan and me playing while we waited for our food. We had a very nice day, pretty uneventful. We worked in the yard most of the day and then went out to BBQ at a friends house.
I am so lucky to have a nice little family who loves me, and I love them!

Hey!

Even though this one is a little blurry, I think it is precious. Nice hugs from my boy.

Oh even a kiss!

"Where is your head?"

Hello Mommy!

Friday Night Sunset

Here is the sunset from Friday, that we just had to capture. This is one great thing about living on the Oregon coast, the sunsets can be incredible!
Enjoy!

I think that it is so wonderful that the sky can make such great colors!

First Haircut

Last week Teagan and I got our hair cut. This was Teagan's first haircut! He wasn't too sure about it, and didn't need very much cut off. Since I was by myself I only have two quick photos to share. Leroy has been cutting my hair since I was two and now it is Teagan's turn. This was a bit challenging 'cause I had to hold him and every time Leroy said, "Now hold real still" Teagan would turn to look at him, oops. With tree quick snips he was done. Leroy took one snip from each side of his head and one from the back, where he had a little baby mullet going on!

Teagan was on my lap and I took this picture in the mirror. You can see Teagan is not too sure, and he is not too sure he wants that toy either.

With scissors in hand Leroy did a quick snip job! Teagan was happier to hold a brush then that stuffed toy.

New Play Structure

Grandpa Lee is back from traveling! He was gone for over 4 months on his volunteering adventure and we are happy to have him back! We were able to visit with while he was gone via Skype, so Teagan would still see him and not forget who he was.
This last weekend while Grandpa Lee was visiting us he surprised Teagan with a play structure! We are so excited to have it and yesterday James put it together for him.

While Teagan was taking his nap James put the play structure together.

Even Kiely helped. hehe

Teagan woke up and saw this and new he wanted to try it out.
Up the stairs he went!
Onto the platform.

Spin the wheel!

Teagan's hair blowing in the wind.

A slide!

Down he goes into Daddy's arms!

We put the structure in the back yard.

All ready to be played on!

The structure even has a climbing wall for when Teagan gets bigger!
Thanks Grandpa Lee!

Crab Fest

Every year we go the annual Crab and Seafood Festival, which is more like the crab and wine/beer festival. They have many vendors from all over the northwest there giving out samples hoping you buy there products. Each year it is a like a reunion, you run into many people you haven't seen since the year before, there.
This year we invited our new friends who are new to the area, Ian and Katie. Katie and I met at school and are both trying to get into the nursing program. We have become good friends and I wanted to show them a good time.
We also had another new guest with us this year, my cousin Austin! Austin just joined the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and has been stationed down in Garibaldi, 'bout 50 miles south of Astoria. We are thrilled and proud of him and are excited to have him so close to us!
We all went and had a great time, not to mention James and I were baby free for the evening and enjoyed ourselves. We haven't been able to go out alone in quite some time so it was very nice for us!

Austin and I on the bus on the way out to the festival!

Ian and Katie, with my husband in the background making a funny face.

James and I in the back of the bus!

James, me, and Austin.
Geee who is short and who is tall?

A Boy in a Box

So it is not a boy in just one box, but many....

We got this great big box from diapers.com, and who can resist it!

This is great website that offers free shipping for orders over $49, and if you are first time shopper they give you $10 off your first order, enter in my email or code to refer a friend and then you build credit every time someone puts your email or code in. Our code is: LAUR4056.

We have three bins lined up with toys and book in them and Teagan loves to get in them

Teagan loves this Soft Play Panda that Grandma Tapir got for him. She sells them at her online gift shop.

Teagan has had this toy since he was a year old and has been a completely appropriate toy for him. We have been teaching him about the colors black and white, and showing him the Panda's legs, ears, eyes, and nose.

Great gift for teething babies, since it is a soft safe plastic toy!

Standing up and having a great time inside this huge box!

Teagan has started to drag the boxes/bins to the middle of the living room floor and then getting inside them.

Yet another box, this one is the book box.

Oh look at him, standing up.....

Boxes come in all different sizes, this happens to be a box that his plastic shapes go into, but not today.
One foot in...

...booth feet in. Looks like he is squatting down to do, you know what!

Just big enough to fit one butt cheek on.

Check up

Well now that it has been a month since I have made the last blog post, it is time for a new one.
Teagan is now 16 months old and is starting to become a little toddler. He loves to walk around and explore everything. I took him to have a check-up last week and here is where he is:
Weight: 26.4 lbs, 67% range
Head Circumference: 19 inches, 75% range
Height: 29 inches, 0% range, yes that is right ZERO! The gal told me that "if you were to line up all the children his age from tallest to smallest, he'd be the smallest!" Haha, poor guy, that is what happens when he has short parents.
But he is a happy healthy little boy and doing just fine.

I love these overalls! Teagan was playing with this dinosaur while we were waiting to be called in for the appointment.

Ohh, something new!
