A day at the falls

James and I (and Teagan..) decided to go on an outing to the falls. The name of the water fall is The Youngs River Falls. Since I grew up out in the country, out on Youngs River Road, I used to go to the falls a lot as a little girl with my dad. James and I haven't been out there in quite some time, so we thought we'd take Teagan and Kiely out there. It is nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air, every once in a while, instead of being couped up in the house. I can't believe how much it has changed, there aren't trees where they once stood and the river below the falls has changed too. Kiely enjoyed being down there, able to run free without a leash on. She is not typically a water dog but did managed to take a dip in the ice cold water. Then she got the "funny 5 minutes" where she all of a sudden runs uncontrollably all around and acts all crazy, we also call it the "coo-coos".

(look at Kiely's tongue, haha).

Here I am.

I love this cave, where you can see the tree's roots winding around. My dad used to hid in there when we were little, and make scary noises, pretending he was a bear. He probably would still hide in there today!
Notice James has Teagan totally bundled up. He is so protective of his little boy, it is very cute and sometimes a little over the top!

My mom hadn't seen Teagan since my baby shower on December,13th, and Dick hadn't seen him since we were discharged from the hospital. They enjoyed having us at there home for a few days. They even watched Teagan while James and I went out on a dinner date.

Birthday & Bouncer

So today was supposed to be the big day, Teagan's birth. The due date was Jan. 9th, 2009, insted it ended up being Dec. 2, 2008. It has been 6wks since the little guy arrived and it has been quite the rollercoster ride, from my water breaking, to adjusting to having a preemie baby. I have to say I can't believe that I have already gone through my whole pregnancy, labor, and birth. I don't think I could have held it together as well as I did if it wasn't for my wonderful husband, James. He is such a big help and he adores me and Teagan so much! I now have these two guys in my life that I love very much and look forward to what the future has instore for us. We are hopefully going to get some family photos taken this weekend, and I am looking forward to that. I know that will be first of many family photo opts.

Yesterday we tried to put Teagan in some Newborn clothes. They still are a little big, but he is getting there. It may look like his pants are too short, but that aren't. Here he is in his new clothes and bouncer.

Dogs & Cats

Here is proof that dogs and cats can get along. Kiely and Meow that is, our dog and cat. Meow allows Kiely to lick her ears, and Kiely enjoys it, well they both do. Then Meow will turn her head so that Kiley can get the other ear. They have been adjusting to a new person in the house, but they still able to carry on their cleaning rituals. Sometimes when Kiely is bored she goes to find Meow to pester her, and they end up playing. Here are some photos of Meow and Kiely.

Auntie Jamie's Blanket

James' best girlfriend, Jamie, hand made this green blanket for Teagan. At our baby shower in California, she gave us a card, and inside it was a piece of string that was attached with a note that said that she was hand making this blanket. Well we've put it to good use, now that it arrived. She was planning on it being finished by the time Teagan was supposed to be born (01/09/09) but we all know how that turned out. Here are some pictures of Teagan with his new blanket.<

Thanks Jamie! We love it!
