Play Time

James' friend, Tim, got us this Under the Sea Adventure play mat for Teagan. He might be a little young yet, but James set it up and put Teagan on it. He definitely was checking it out. There are lights that flash, and sounds that play. I think this will be a good thing for his development. Here is what he thought about it...

Teagan holding on to the fish.

Checkin it out.

He was fascinated by the lights that were flashing.

Wide eyed!

Hanging out.

Teagan & Friends

Here is Teagan with my girlfriend, Kerry. She has been waiting just as long as I have to hold him.

My friend Katie, and her mom, Nancy, with Teagan. Katie had never really held a baby as small as Teagan, but with her mom by her side and I we got her through it. Moments after this picture was taken Teagan threw up.

Here is Gail with Teagan.

Gail has three boys, one of them is Kirk, so she was no stranger on how to do this whole baby thing.

Here is Heidi, Kirk's girlfriend, with Teagan.

Here is Kirk, my best friend, with Teagan. Kirk was in our wedding, he was my "Male of Honor." He looks pretty comfortable holding him.

Grandma Tapir

Grandma Tapir (Sheryl) loves to stop by and visit us. Well probably more to visit Teagan. Here are some pictures of her with Teagan. She is really getting the hang of holding him in different positions. Since she never had any kids of her own, this is a new experience for her, and I think she is a natural.

So cute with his hands crossed on Sheryl's chest.

Sleeping away.

Looks like he is whistling.

Here comes his tongue....

Happy Hanukkah!

James and I at our family Hanukkah party.

Daddy feeding Teagan at Hanukkah, maybe next year he'll actually get some latkes!

The Menorah.

Teagan and Mommy next to the Menorah.

The family.

Sleeping

Sleeping peacfully, with his little hands up by his chin.

So sweet

Teagan has to have his hands/arms out. He does like to be swaddled, but we know when he starts to fuss we know he wants his hands/arms free.

Teagan also likes to have his hands by his face. It comforts him, even when he his being fed he has to have hands touching eachother.
Looks like he is holding his binkie.
Spending a little quality time with Grandma Tapir (Sheryl).

Grandma Tapir (Sheryl) with Teagan.
He was a bit fussy, but then she put him on her shoulder and off to sleep he went.

Sunday Morning

Zonked out!
Teagan enjoying laying on Daddy's chest, on this lovely snowy Sunday morning. We were all laying in bed, three of us. It was quite nice and peaceful until Teagan woke up and started crying (loudly) for no reason, maybe he had a bad dream. I just about flew out of bed becasue I was half asleep, then realized he was on James' chest. Of course I asked James, " What did you do?" He said he didn't do anything....and that he just woke up screaming. We changed his diaper, Teagan's not James, and I fed him and now he is back asleep, peacfully....for the moment.

Peter Iredale

This is a photo of the Peter Iredale Ship that was built in 1885. It recked here on the Oregon coast on October 25, 1906. Parts of it still remains, and I have been going out there and playing on what is left of the ship since I was little. Below is what it looks like today.

Rusty frame

Barnacles live on the lower part of the frame.

Here is looking through it towards the front of the ship.

Here it is in the snow.

Here it sits on a regular day.

When the tide is really low, and the sand has washed away, you can actually still see some of the teak decking.

The Beach-No Snow vs. Snow

Here I am, 33wks pregnant!

And now here I am 2 1/2wks not pregnant!

No snow

Snow!
(and yes, we did eventually go back to the car and put on our jackets! Don't worry mom-both of you.)

James and Kiely, she loves the beach, she can just run and run! Notice my husband, shorts and bare feet! (November 22, mind you)
Kiely and I on the beach, in the snow! (December 19)

Kiely with her ball.

Kiely getting her ball in the snow!

James and I (and Kiely) like to go to the beach. Since we live right on the Oregon coast why not go. It is refreshing and beautiful. One of our favorite spots is the Peter Iredale beach. I have some photos that I was meaning to post up from our visit there from Nov. 22. Mind you I was still pregnant (33wks). As most of you know we have been having some snow fall here, and I was getting a little cabin fever staying at home, so I told James that I wanted to go to the beach, because I have never seen the beach with snow before. So here are some before and after photos.

Photos

James took some photos of Teagan yesterday. Needless to say Teagan had quite the big day yesterday (read the blog below). You can see that he is starting to fill out and gain wieght. He is still so tiny to us and most people.

Wednesday Morning

Caution-Nudity!
Teagan got his first real bath. Look at how red he can get! He wasn't too sure about the whole thing.
The poor thing was chattering he was so upset. But we thought it was cute.

That is better, in his lion towel.

After the traumatic bath event, Teagan and Daddy spend the next few hours together on the couch.

Arms all spralled out.

Kiely was just checking to make sure everyone is doing alright. She worries when Teagan crys.

Cuddle time.

I love this, he had folded his hand together.

Too cute.
